The preservation of the NSW Act is important to demonstrate the effectiveness of NSW’s approach to addressing modern slavery in supply chains.

Fair Supply’s submission to the NSW Parliamentary inquiry into the Modern Slavery Act highlights the importance of preserving core aspects of the Act, recommends the Anti-Slavery Commissioner be given greater independence in exercising their functions and urges the Committee to re-consider the appropriateness of the proposed exemptions to reporting.
